The Great One is the main antagonist of the Ali Baba episode of Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child Episode "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves." He is the leader of the 40 thieves. He is the leader so he has to keep his men in line...but he also doesn't go far as humiliating a few of them, most notably his second in command. He has light tan skin, a grey beard, a yellow shirt and shoes, a grey belt, pink pants and turban; he's voiced by Bruno Kirby.
The Great One was stealing treasure from Ali-Baba's village and he and his men have a secret lair full of treasure which can be opened if he or anybody says "Open Sesame." They didn't realize that Ali Baba, a young girl and her animal friends fround the cave and stole the treasure the thieves stole to give to the people of her village. Her older brother Cassim sneaks to the cave only to get stuck in it and tries to steal some treasure. The next morning the Great One and his thieves discover Cassim and pour lead turning him to a gold statue. Luckily, Ali Baba rescued him fromm his fate. The Great One finds out that someone understands the code and goes to the village where one of his men mark the door with an X. Ali Baba and her animal friends mark every door with an X makign the Great One chase his second in command. He then appears to Ali Baba's home disguise as an oil salesman tired and need a place to stay for the night. Ali Baba finds the ruse and recruits the villagers to drive the thieves out of the town. When Ali Baba and her animal friends go back to the cave, it disappears and so do the thieves, never to be seen/heard from again.
In the MCF version, his role is the same.
